Sky3ds ban issue and how to make Sky3ds header file?

In this post you can read something about Sky3ds ban issue and how to make your own Sky3ds header file.

Each original genunie game flashcard has a header file which will be detected when you playing games online with other gamers. Sky3ds header file is come from the template file when write/flash games into Sky3ds. And all the Template headers are the same, if the same headers file are used at the same time during online gaming and is detected by Nintendo, your 3ds console be will banned! 3DS get banned means all the games cannot be played online, FC cannot sign in, but eshop explorer or Miiverse can work as normal. In that situation, the error code will be 002-0102, please note the 002-0120 means your game roms didnot update, 002-0123 means your game roms has an compatibility issue thus disable your 3ds console cannot play online.

Something about private header file:

The header file cannot be bonded to game rom, in other words, no matter which game you are playing online you can use the same header file. As long as you have your own unique special header, no matter you are playing which or what games online you will not be banned. If you wanna to get your own header file, you have to use a Gateway 3ds flashcard + a new genunie flashcard, otherwise you can visit some famous hack group/forum to get your unique header file.

Hot to make header file?

First of all, download software from here: Sky3dsTempldEdit
Secondly, put it together with newest Sky3ds template in the same folder, as this:

Then copy the directory of SkyTempldEdit.exe as below:

Open click a space filling in your header file, for example your header file is 11 22 33 44 55 66 77 88 99 00 then you should type in 11223344556677889900. When I make my Sky3ds header, in the directory I type like this: D:\下载\SKY3DS\DiskWriter\SkyTempIdEdit.exe 11223344556677889900 that means directory+space+header file+no space.

Click Run/Yes to make the new template, this new template is the one you have changed header file, with this new template you can write/flash game romss now. Please note after you changed the Sky3ds header file, when you save game data it will be failed bec of the new header's incompatibility, the previous game savedata can not be used for this game any more.

A good way decreasing the risk of savedata failure when use the Sky3ds flashcard

Some of you might have met this situation: when you are using Sky3ds playing games and want to switch to next game, but failed savedata of the previous game, in this article you will get to know a good way to decrease the risk of savedata failure.

As we all know, Sky3ds switching to next game you need to press the blue button to achieve it, this way may be a little annoying if there are so many game ROMs in your Sky3ds micro sd card, so we suggest only put your favorite regularly played game ROMs in the micro sd card. And what's more, donot put your favorite regularly played game ROMs in the first place when write/flash games by DiskWriter, it's better to put a quite small KB game ROM which you donot like to enjoy in the first place. Let's take a 8GB SanDisk Micro SD Card for example:

Read below a good way decreasing the risk of savedata failure when use the Sky3ds flashcard:

0x10000 64MB--->defaultly SDY3DS will take the capacity, the first game ROM will be started with 0x10000
The list of game ROMs in Sky3ds:
1. ROM1 512MB 0206 - Zelda no Densetsu - Toki no Ocarina 3D(JP).3DS
2. ROM2 1GB 1155 - Final_Fantasy_Explorers_JPN_3DS-Caravan.3DS
3. ROM3 2GB 0215 - Fire Emblem - Kakusei (JP).3ds
4. ROM4 4GB 1060 - Monster Hunter 4G(JP).3DS

In this list, the first game ROM is not what I want to play, it is just for decreasing the risk of savedata failure, you can choose the smallest 512MB ROM.
The 2/3/4 game ROMs are the games I want to play with Sky3ds, it is the default Sy3ds official mode EEPROM YES, generally speaking, when playing games, the savedata is just temporarily save to SKY3DS EEPROM, only when switching to next game the previous game will automatically save to micro sd card, at the same time, the previous game savedate is also automatically copied to SKY3DS EEPROM.

All in all, donot put your favored game ROM in the first place!
